VPO Azucarera
The Azucarera Housing complex, developed by Nasuvinsa in Tudela (Navarra), houses 27 subsidized housing units designed according to strict passive sustainability and high energy efficiency criteria. Conceived as a model of contemporary social housing, the complex meets nZEB standards and has obtained Passivhaus certification, thanks to the drastic reduction in energy demand and the exclusive use of renewable energy.
The building employs passive strategies such as super-insulation, high-performance windows and doors, exterior solar shading, and seasonal solar radiation utilization. It features ventilation with heat recovery and a centralized system that provides heating and domestic hot water using biomass, complemented by roof-mounted air cooling.
In this project, Gradhermetic participated by supplying and installing SH series pivoting corrugated louvers with special sheet metal, which are integrated into the building envelope and contribute to its solar performance and energy efficiency.
