Casa M&M is a single-family home designed by ra[ ]el ARQUITECTURA, located in Rafelbunyol (Valencia), which stands out for its commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and the well-being of its inhabitants. It is a three-story building, situated at the end of a row of houses, whose design takes full advantage of its southeast orientation and a spacious central courtyard that connects the main living areas.

The construction combines traditional methods—concrete and ceramic masonry with an external EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System)—with advanced technologies for energy recovery, photovoltaic generation, and home automation. Furthermore, it has been conceived as a bio-healthy building, free of toxic materials and environmentally friendly, minimizing its carbon footprint.

This comprehensive approach has made Casa M&M a benchmark for sustainable architecture, recognized within the IRTA Plan of the Valencian Government and certified as the first Passivhaus Premium home in the Valencian Community.

In this context, Gradhermetic louvers play an essential role in solar control and interior comfort. The studio ra[ ]el ARQUITECTURA has chosen Gradpanel louvers for the solar shading of the glazed openings, in both Lift-Up and Pivoting Corrugated versions, with vertically installed bamboo slats.
