LV House is located in Santiago de Chile, in Las Condes region. It is a work designed by Lira Arquitectos Asociados studio, whose aim is to "develop quality and efficient projects, both in design and construction", as they state on their website. Their work methodology "emphasises the coordinated development of projects, their details and the evaluation of options in search of the optimum result for each case".

The project has approximately 600m2 of built surface, where concrete predominates as the main material, giving the project a design of straight and elegant lines that define the spaces of the house that contrasts with the elegance and warmth of the natural wood on the façade.

And since the studio's aim is to create sustainable projects under LEED certifications, the architectural studio decided to equip the house with solar control systems from Gradhermetic. Specifically, Gradpanel CL W 35 Cedar Series Gradpanel louvres were installed, consisting of fixed wooden slats with a square section of 35 x 30-32 mm from protected and sustainably managed forests under the PEFC and FSC seals.

These wooden louvres were installed in two types of applications: fixed frame and pivoting hinged. The latter is particularly relevant because it allows the user to control the location of the panel according to solar variation and times of day, thus contributing to energy savings in the home.
